TESTIMONIALS
"My first session was pre-lockdown and I was a little anxious beforehand. I wanted to meet new people as I am relatively new to the local area. What I enjoy now is that it is a consistent social activity and all the guys who turn up are spot on. It's also a good opportunity to talk about mental health if I ever needed to speak out." - Oliver Ryan
"My first session was back in March time just before the lockdown period. I had seen a post advertising Kick Start FC on Facebook and thought I would give it a try. I have always enjoyed playing football and the guys who turn up are a good laugh I have enjoyed coming to the sessions. It’s also a great way to speak out if you have anything on your mind. I would totally recommend it." - Rob Yates

How do I talk about my mental health?
Putting your feelings into words is sometimes difficult. It’s perfectly normal to be worried that you might say the wrong thing or explain it badly. It’s also natural to feel anxious that your loved one or friend might think your mental health is worse than you might feel it is.
Try not to worry – talking about your mental health is incredibly important when it comes to getting the right support for you and with the right preparation the conversation can be easier than you think it might be. Here are a few tips on how to talk about your mental health.

HOME TACKLING THE MIND

SEEK TO PROTECT LTD PARTNERSHIP
Wednesday 29th January 2025
We are excited to announce a brand new partnership with local insurance protection company Seek To Protect LTD. Based in Ludgershall, Seek To Protect provide reliable insurance solutions that offer peace of mind for the future. With over a decade of industry experience, their mission is simple: to protect what matters most.
With a shared passion of mental health awareness, Seek To Protect reached out to us and wanted to bolster our resources to help us with our mission of raising awareness of mental health in the local community.

"After opening Seek To Protect and setting up our base in Ludgershall, I have been on the look out for the right charity to partner with.
The choice to partner with Kick Start FC was such an easy one because they do incredible work in our local community, providing support for those struggling with symptoms of mental health problems and we share the same drive to help people.
I'm so excited to help Kick Start FC reach their goals in 2025 and can't wait to see the amazing work we do together" - Lewis Turnbull (Director of Seek To Protect Ltd)
Collaboration between Kick Start FC and Seek To Protect has already begun with both organisations coming together this February to distribute half-term food packages for families experiencing financial struggles. As families continue to navigate their way around the increase in cost of living, Kick Start FC and Seek To Protect LTD are looking to feed up to 30 families this half-term.
"We're extremely appreciative of Lewis and the team at Seek To Protect LTD for reaching out to us and expressing an interest in working with us. Funding for mental health services continues to be a challenge, but to have the support of a local business that believes in the work are we doing and also cares about the community as much as we do; it's a massive help.
We have provided food packages previously to those on low income and universal credit, and Seek To Protect have recently donated a lot of food to help our cause. No child should go hungry and no parent should ever feel their best isn't good enough" - Michael Cunningham (Kick Start FC)

Kick Start FC is a charitable incorporated organisation. Charity no. 1203577
Affiliated to the Wiltshire Football Association
